Three temples.
A Sermon for the Tenth Sunday after Trinity • August 13, 2023 at Holy Communion • 1 Kings 8:22–30
Three temples.
You shall see my back.
A blessing and a curse.
One bread.
Dead to sin, alive to God.
Unclean lips.
I am the vine; you are the branches.
One sinner who repents.
Confidence before God.
The Encourager.
The strong name of the Trinity.
I will pour out my Spirit.
Scripture as prayer.
No other name.
An apostolic church.
Raised with Christ.
O my people, what have I done to you?
On the night when he was betrayed.
The weapons of our warfare.
Made for sacrifice.
