Leviathan, whom you formed to play.
A Sermon for the Sixteenth Sunday after Trinity • September 24, 2023 at Holy Communion • Psalm 104, Deuteronomy 7:6–9, Ephesians 3:13–21
Leviathan, whom you formed to play.
God is not mocked.
A spirit of gratitude.
Quiet quitting.
Mercy and judgement.
Strength in weakness.
Three temples.
You shall see my back.
A blessing and a curse.
One bread.
Dead to sin, alive to God.
Unclean lips.
I am the vine; you are the branches.
One sinner who repents.
Confidence before God.
The Encourager.
The strong name of the Trinity.
I will pour out my Spirit.
Scripture as prayer.
No other name.
